Weight Loss — 2026-05-07
Single-peptide weight loss research dominated the 2010s. The 2020s belong to stacks. As GP-1 agonists, GH secretagogues, and mitochondrial peptides have been individually validated, the natural research question has shifted: which combinations produce the best body composition outcomes, and how do they stack up against each other? This article compares the four research stack tiers — Metabolic, Shredder, Shred & Bulk, and their extended V2 versions — and explains how to pick.
Researcher heads-up: code WELCOME at checkout unlocks 35% off every stack discussed below. If you're choosing a stack to source for a 12-week protocol, that discount makes the difference between sourcing the right tier and compromising on a smaller one.
Before listing stacks, the framework. Pick a stack based on three questions:
The right stack depends on these answers more than on which compound is "strongest."
The two-compound entry point. Pairs the strongest single energy-deficit driver (Reta) with a lean-mass preservation layer (Tesamorelin).
Adds MOTS-C, the mitochondrial-derived peptide, to the Metabolic Stack. The MOTS-C addition shifts the stack from pure weight-loss to recomposition-leaning.
Adds the CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin co-formulated 10mg vial on top of the Shredder Stack. This is the four-compound recomposition protocol that targets every major axis simultaneously.
The Shredder Stack Complete and Shred & Bulk Stack V2 are the same compounds as their base stacks, scaled to a full month of daily dosing:
The base versions only carry about 10 days of the daily compounds (Tesa and MOTS-C). The extended versions cover a full month without re-sourcing mid-month. For protocol integrity (matched-batch material across a month-long block), they're the right call for any sustained study.
| Stack | Compounds | Primary Endpoint | Injections/week | Bundle Coverage |
| Metabolic | Reta + Tesa | Weight loss | ~8 | ~10 days (base) / 1 month (Complete) |
| Shredder | Reta + Tesa + MOTS-C | Recomp-leaning | ~9-10 | ~10 days (base) / 1 month (Complete) |
| Shred & Bulk | Reta + Tesa + MOTS-C + CJC/Ipa | True recomp | ~10-11 | ~10 days (base) / 1 month (V2) |
Reasonable question — does adding compounds always help? In recomp research the pattern is yes, as long as the added compound is mechanistically non-redundant. Adding triz to reta would be redundant (both GP-1 agonists, mostly overlapping). Adding tesamorelin is not redundant (different axis entirely).
The four compounds in the Shred & Bulk Stack pass the no-overlap test: - Reta → GP-1/GIP/glucagon - Tesamorelin → GHRH (single pulse) - CJC + Ipa → GHRH amplification + ghrelin pathway (augmented pulse) - MOTS-C → AMPK/mitochondrial
The only mechanistic overlap is GHRH (tesa + CJC), and that overlap is desirable — the combination produces a larger, longer pulse than either compound alone.
Both reasonable substitutions, with trade-offs:
The same stack architecture works with sema or triz substituted for reta. Most published-style recomp protocols still use reta as the GP-class anchor because of the magnitude of effect.
A few practical points across all stacks:
The right stack is the one that matches your research question. Pure weight-loss research → Metabolic. Body composition research → Shredder. True recomposition (lean mass amplification) → Shred & Bulk. A full month of daily dosing → the Complete / V2 versions.
Code WELCOME at checkout unlocks 35% off all four stack tiers. Every vial in every stack ships with a batch-matched COA, 99%+ HPLC purity verification, and US-based handling. If you're sourcing for a 12-week study, this is the cleanest way to do it.
