Reta: GI and Appetite Effects

The most noticeable side effects come from Reta, and they track the titration steps:

• Nausea — most common in weeks 1–2 and after each dose increase
• Constipation — very common; slowed gastric motility is the cause. Start a fiber supplement early
• Fatigue — usually transient, often tied to the steep early deficit
• Under-eating — strong appetite suppression can push intake too low; track protein

Mitigation: titrate slowly, don't skip steps, hydrate, and hold a dose an extra week rather than pushing through bad symptoms.
